Each year, KAUST's Winter Enrichment Program (WEP) host an International Undergraduate Poster Competition, bringing up to 50 undergraduates from around the globe together. Showcase your research & participate in an exciting international program on the shores of the Red Sea.

Share ideas, hear world renowned speakers, and enjoy recreational and cultural activities,local excursions, culinary delights and marine activities.

  • Context/background of the issue(s) researched
  • Aim of the research
  • Concise summary of the research design, methodology or analytical procedures used
  • Results/conclusions/products
  • Implications/significance to the relevant field

Abstracts should be between 200 and 300 words, single-spaced, with one or two figures (maximum). Font: Helvetica or Times New Roman, Font Size: 10 Abstracts are mandatory; figures are not. If you feel like sending us a figure or two, please send it to us via a zip file with your abstract. Acceptable formats: .doc, .docx, or pdf file or zip file with attached figures.

Naming format of the abstract document: Institution_Last Name_First Name example: DUKE_Smith_Peter.doc/.docx/.pdf.

Participants must be undergraduate students, and must submit individually Group Submissions will not be accepted

Each Student is responsible for presenting his/her own research

Your research abstract should fall within the general areas of focus at KAUST (including, but not limited to)

Upon selection, students may present their research by POSTER or VIDEO All videos must be a maximum of three minutes

When submitting an abstract, authors testify that this is their original work. Presenter's name and electronic name is treated as an electronic signature.

Participants agree that their abstract - and later on his/their posters or videos - may be featured in KAUST publications and/or included on the KAUST website.
